High on a waterfront bluff, our modern ‘live-in garden’ home has spectacular views over the SW Puget Sound, and is just 30 minutes from Seattle and Tacoma. It is situated in a quiet rural neighborhood with several points for beach access, and is very private with a separate entrance.

The fully equipped kitchen is a joy to cook in, using a professional Viking gas stove and updated appliances. We always keep a full pantry, with locally sourced french pressed coffee and teas. With one bedroom, the house is designed for couples or a single person on retreat.

We use organic cotton sheets on a luxurious queen size bed that can sleep two comfortably. And although this is a ‘get-away’ we do pay some concessions to the outside world with access to a small flat screen tv and DVD player, netflix streaming and free Wifi Internet access. There is one bathroom with a soaker tub, but be warned, you’ll need to relax in the bath, as there is no shower.

To warm up those cooler evenings, there is a Rais wood burning stove and we also have comfortable in-floor heating should you need it. Ross and I have collected interesting, contemporary, classic furniture that fits the space and unifies the house and grounds. Outside, you can wander and enjoy wooded seclusion with beautifully groomed, “exuberantly and expertly planted” gardens and modern outdoor furniture including an Eva Solo BBQ.

To avoid any allergies and to help save the planet, we clean with non- toxic, environmentally sustainable products.

As a little something extra, our guests get a 25% discount for shopping at Dig Nursery which includes all plants and ceramic pottery. And we also treat you to coupons for Snapdragon Bakery and Pizza - A uniquely Vashon experience.

Our island is packed with vibrant energy, an incredible farmers market where you can pick up locally grown produce and art, fine dining, shopping, artist studios, galleries and many local performances. Enjoy walking trails, visiting historic landmarks, renting a bike or or simply walking on the beach. Though maybe you’ll just want to enjoy the house, make a meal from our local organic produce, pick up a bottle of local wine and watch the sunset.
