For one afternoon only, three Vashon Island gardeners will open their private gardens for a small group of visitors to tour.
Guests will explore the largest Victorian fern stumpery in the Northwest, visit an extensively planted estate-like property that brings a Northwest sensibility to its formal English structure, and tour a landscaped waterfront garden merging modern architecture with a lush Northwest forest. A destination nursery rounds out the afternoon’s tour, providing guests with a chance to browse a fabulous collection of hard-to-find plants and shrubs.
In addition to touring the nursery and gardens and talking with the gardeners, visitors will also enjoy gourmet appetizers, refreshments, and desserts. Space is limited for this exploration of Vashon’s innovative gardens.
