Aloe? Aloe? Is Anyone There?

Aloe Vera is always here! Transparent gel from the pulp of it's meaty leaves has been used topically for thousands of years to treat wounds, skin infections, and burns. It's an indispensable addition to any well-stocked kitchen or medicine cabinet. When dried, the sap has been shown to be useful as a natural preservative and has well-documented medicinal uses.

Aloe vera is one of the easiest houseplants around - forget about it on a sunny windowsill. When you need it, there it is! Water rarely, keep indoors in winter - it loves to spend the summer outdoors. Repot in a well-drained potting soil such as our Cactus Mix.

Get ready for summer - grilling, sunburns, fireworks . Here at DIG we always have medicinal Aloe stocked in our kitchen.
